When wounded soldiers come into medical units in Iraq, their clothing is often cut off so the medical staff can provide the care urgently needed to save them.
After one medical unit made it known that it could use new and used T-shirts and gym shorts to replace the soldiers' damaged clothing, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2462 Ladies Auxiliary responded with 22 boxes filled with donations.

The group, which started in 1898 after the Spanish-American War, is running the ads to solicit donations to help soldiers returning from the war zones and the families of those still deployed.
