VEAZIE - The U.S. Department of Labor is suing a Pennsylvania man for his role in the downfall of Gagne Precast Concrete Products Inc., which was forced out of operation by creditors in May 2008. A complaint filed last month in U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania alleges that Stephen Thomas of York, Pa., falsely inflated the value of the Veazie company before he purchased it on credit and then illegally siphoned away more than $1.1 million during his three years as its president.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is issuing an order under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (the FD&C Act) permanently debarring Stephen L. Marks from providing services in any capacity to a person that has an approved or pending drug product application. We base this order on a finding that Mr. Marks was convicted of felonies under Federal law for conduct relating to the regulation of a drug product under the FD&C Act.
