NEW YORK, Nov. 30 /U.S. Newswire/ -- In honor of World AIDS Day, the New York City HIV Vaccine Trials Unit (a Columbia University Medical Center and Project Achieve partnership) honors its vaccine trial volunteers in a photo exhibit, highlighting some of the dedicated and giving volunteers and their touching stories.
Vaccine volunteers will address the audience on their experience in HIV vaccine research. Dr. Beryl Koblin will announce a new HIV vaccine research trial scheduled to start in December 2004. This event will be held at The Doe Fund Inc.'s Peter Jay Sharp Residence in East Harlem where its Scatter Site II program is operated from.

Report: Walker used $10,000 for PR MADISON, Wis. -- Gov. Scott Walker paid nearly $10,000 to a public relations firm out of $160,000 that was supposed to be for legal defense work just weeks before his recall election, a new filing with the Internal Revenue Service shows. Wisconsin Democratic Party spokesman Graeme Zielinski called Walker's use of the legal defense money for public relations work just before the recall election "a new low." Walker created the legal defense fund from campaign donations to handle expenses related to the ongoing criminal investigation in Milwaukee County.
