A massive mortgage fraud fight in which a local credit union is suing its insurer for at least $42 million has advanced in court over the past few weeks. After a federal judge in December denied Suffolk Federal Credit Union's request for summary judgment charging Cumis Insurance Society owes it at least $42 million, the credit union last month filed a motion asking the judge to reconsider.
