A murder defendant's Confrontation Clause rights were not violated by the admission at trial of statements that the child victim had made to a social worker, the 4th Circuit has ruled in affirming a conviction.

She obtained her Master's degree from California State College, California, Pa., and was a social worker for the state of Kentucky.

LEWISTON -- Androscoggin Head Start and Child Care announces the selection of Betsy Norcross Plourde as the new executive director. She will succeed Estelle Rubinstein, who is retiring at the end of December after serving as the executive director for more than 20 years.
Plourde has a bachelor's degree in public management and a master's degree in social work and is a licensed master social worker. She served from 1991-1995 as the director of Big Brothers/ Big Sisters of Androscoggin County before joining Advocates for Children in Lewiston, becoming AFC's executive director in 2000.

, 87, of Landis Homes, Lititz, passed away on January 2, 2013 at the Heart of Lancaster Medical Center. Born in Bart Twp, PA she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Elizabeth (Plastino) Boyer. Her husband, Henry Porter passed away in 1988.
Anna was a graduate of Ursinus College and graduated with a Bachelor's degree. She went onto work for the state as a social worker, retiring from there after 40 years of service. She was active in the Blind association and helped knit for patients at the Ephrata Hospital and as well as hats for soldiers overseas.

VIRGINIA BEACH - Sara Josephine Dula Fentress, 77, died Monday, Dec. 27, 2010. Sara was born in Dula Hospital in Lenoir, N.C., to the late Edward and Sara Best Dula. She graduated from Duke University with a bachelor's degree. Sara raised her children, returned to school and received a master's degree and went on to become a clinical social worker. She was member of First Presbyterian Church in Virginia Beach, the NASW and loved working in her yard with her faithful canine companion, Abbie. Sara was predeceased by a daughter, Brooke B. Fentress.
Left to cherish her memory are son, Trenton D. Fentress of Stoneville, N.C.; daughter, Tracy D. Fentress of Virginia Beach; brother, Fred P. Dula; sister, Ann D. Tyree; uncle, Herman Best and wife Margaret; and a host of other family and friends.
