THE APPRENTICE: Sean won the job, but did he get the girl as well?

The more astute among you will notice that the word "Broadway" doesn't appear in that itinerary. When you've got a property called [Barry Manilow]'s Copacabana and can't get investors for a New York production, that can only mean the investors have seen it.

Funniest of all is Sid (Don Stephenson) who has problems keeping a job out of town but sparks his scenes with sheepish songs like his duet with Lily, each small-town enough to warble "I Get Embarrassed. " Darlin' Lily, (Beth Glover's) best solo is the winsome "Promise Me a Rose " followed by Nat's charming reprise "Staying Young " sung with the gusto of ruling Dad (William Parry) as head of household who opens this provincial but burgeoning, wise tale. No question this is is the life hapless Eugene O'[Neill] wished he had.
Sondheim's lyrics to Jule Styne's music makes a magical score explaining the demand for standing room tickets at the back of the St. James. Each song is a gem. "Some People, " "You 'Il Never Get Away From Me,...
... hopeful duet with Tulsa (smart Tony Yazbeck) creating steps for "All I Need is the Girl, " the...
