LEWISTON -- In a rare tournament that has been nearly upset free, Edward Little's Frankie Lally was the lone party crasher Tuesday during the second day of the three-day MPA singles tourney. Not bad, for a day that almost wasn't.

Noteworthy: A former junior national champion in the 2009 Canadian Arabian Horse National Championships, Lally recently claimed national honors in her first outing in the adult amateur category. Lally finished fourth at this year's U.S. Arabian Horse National Championships in Oklahoma riding "Lynyrd Skynyrd," a half- Arabian, half-Saddleback. Age: 20
John M. Lally Noteworthy: Lally will receive an Alumni of Distinction award on Friday from St. Vincent College. The award is given by the St. Vincent Alumni Association in recognition of meritorious service and commitment to the college near Latrobe.
