So, now I've seen the film documentary "Jesus Camp." The experience was surprisingly incomplete, because it didn't include an opportunity to talk to the other people who were in the uptown Minneapolis theater with Jay and me. Their snorts and gasps during the movie (especially when the bulky female pastor took complacent parents to task for being "too fat") didn't offer many clues about whether they had spent any time living in the evangelical Christian subculture, or whether "Jesus Camp" was their first and only look at it. Could some other audience members, like me, recite from memory the pledge of allegiance to the Bible?
