Less than a week remains to register to vote or change voter information, such as a new mailing address or a different party affiliation, if you want to cast a ballot in the Nov. 1 election.
Residents who have a Colorado driver's license or identification card issued by the Colorado Department of Revenue can register to vote online by Oct. 3 at www.govotecolorado.com.

Monday is the deadline to register to vote in Indiana, and in Vanderburgh County, there's a new way for residents to confirm their registration and find other information.
The Voters Registration Office and the Evansville Geographic Information Systems department have launched a public information Web site. From it, residents can type in their name and make sure they are registered and learn where their polling place is.

COLUMBUS -- Secretary of State Jon Hus-ted has several election law changes he will ask the legislature to make to prepare for the November 2012 presidential election, including the ability to register to vote and make voter address changes online.
The former Dayton-area lawmaker and House speaker said Monday that the changes seek a "balance between access and accuracy.

INDIANAPOLIS - Gov. Mitch Daniels signed a bill Tuesday that will allow Hoosiers to register to vote online, but he vetoed an election bill that would expand the use of centralized vote centers.
Daniels said although the bill he rejected would have made voting more convenient, he vetoed it because it does not do enough to prevent voter fraud.

Monday is the deadline to register to vote in the city election, which includes races for mayor, City Council and two proposed charter changes affecting the new form of city government approved by voters in November.

The Boone County clerk's office on the second floor of the Boone County Government Center, 801 E. Walnut, will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today for voters needing to cast an absentee ballot in elections scheduled Tuesday.
The office is also open for voters to file change-of-address forms, which can also be done online at showme boone.com/clerk. Boone County residents can register to vote for future elections, but the last day to register for Tuesday's election was March 12.
