Matthew Brady Jr. has been appointed regional manager at Summit Security Services Inc. in Uniondale. He will be responsible for planning security for major events, protecting public officials, visiting dignitaries and intelligence-gathering.
Prior to joining SSS, Brady spent 30 years with the Nassau County Police Department. For the past 15 years, he was commanding officer of the special investigations squad. Brady said the keys to success are taking your position very seriously and understanding your limitations.

Westmoreland County commissioners will consider on Thursday the approval of an ordinance that would make it a crime to take weapons into the juvenile detention center in Hempfield.
