Two Ligonier men have been charged after a road rage confrontation that ended in gunfire Sunday night.
Ligonier Township police charged Charles P. Gallo, 63, with attempted homicide, aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person and Patrick James Pirl, 39, with four counts of aggravated assault, driving under the influence, recklessly endangering another person, careless and reckless driving and following too closely.

MARTIC TWP.: Thomas Donaldson Jr., 22, of Pequea, got in a physical altercation with William Byerly, 26, and Anthony Byerly, 27, at the Byerlys' 389 Red Hill Road home on Monday, state police Trooper Andrew Manning said in a criminal complaint. Donaldson drew a handgun and fired two shots during the 12:18 a.m. incident.
No one was injured, police said. Donaldson was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, harassment and carrying a firearm without a license.

A Derry Township man was awakened early Tuesday by an intruder who cut him with a knife and stole $170 before the victim was able to escape through the kitchen window of his mobile home, state police said.
Police arrested the alleged assailant, Michael John Lehman, and charged him with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, burglary, robbery, theft, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.
