pjnyden@wvgazette.com John King, the physician facing 122 medical-malpractice lawsuits in Putnam County, recently filed a new lawsuit against Putnam General Hospital, Hospital Corporation of America and 17 hospital administrators and physicians.
An Oak Hill woman has sued a Putnam County doctor and an Oak Hill hospital for the wrongful death of her son who allegedly died from a cocaine overdose. In a complaint filed in Putnam County Circuit Court on Oct. 18, Yevette Wilshire alleges that her son Jeremy Rinehart ingested a plastic bag of cocaine while in the custody of the Oak Hill Police Department.
Judgment reversed. All the Justices concur, except Almand, Mobley and Quillian, JJ., who dissent.
cshumaker@wvgazette.com WINFIELD - Putnam County grand jurors this week indicted a former Putnam General Hospital nurse this week who allegedly sexually abused a male patient in 2003.
FOR THE DAILY MAIL WINFIELD - As Charleston Area Medical Center prepares to clear the regulatory hurdles to buy Putnam General Hospital, a new name and different leadership promise opportunity for Putnam County's only hospital, a member of the facility's board told county commissioners.
Mrs. Dawson Poole, Sr. died on Saturday, May 28, 2005 at the Putnam County Hospital, Eatonton. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 4, 2005 at 1 p.m. from the Piney Mount Baptist Church, Warthen, with Reverend James Simmons officiating. Interment will be in the Piney Mount Baptist Church Cemetery.
