Nicole Ma of the Public Service Alliance of Canada was presented with the Bromley Armstrong Award named in honour of the Jamaica-born labour leader who retired after 50 years of service. Armstrong urged conference participants to think of how many of them are shopping at Wal-Mart. "We should not support people like Wal-Mart," he told the gathering.
