A schoolteacher from Winnetka, charged with murdering his wife aboard a Mexican cruise ship, on Thursday waived his right to seek bail. During a hearing in U.S. District Court in San Diego, a federal public defender entered a plea of not guilty on behalf of Robert McGill. He is charged with "murder on the high seas" in the July 14 slaying of his wife, Shirley, on the last leg of a five-night Carnival Elation cruise to Cabo San Lucas.
