The proposed information collection requirement described below has been submitted to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for emergency review and approval, as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act. The Department is soliciting public comments on the subject proposal.
Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker on Monday called for the state to take over administration of major public assistance programs from the county. A state funding cut four years ago for administration of child care, food stamps and medical assistance has made it difficult for the county to run the programs properly, Walker said. Since then, caseloads have grown and serious problems have surfaced with the county's job in running the programs.

The Electronic Tax Administration Advisory Committee (ETAAC) was established to provide continued input into the development and implementation of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) strategy for electronic tax administration. The ETAAC provides an organized public forum for discussion of electronic tax administration issues in support of the overriding goal that paperless filing should be the preferred and most convenient method of filing tax and information returns. ETAAC members convey the public's perception of IRS electronic tax administration activities, offer constructive observations about current or proposed policies, programs, and procedures, and suggest improvements.
