House Bill 469 (P.N. 2756) - This bill amends amend the Practical Nursing Law to provide title protection for licensed registered nurses and licensed practical nurses. Only individuals licensed as registered nurses or practical nurses may use the title "nurse." It also provides for the use of "nurse assistive personnel" for individuals that provide health care services under the direction of a professional or practical nurse.

The increase in non-interest expense was primarily due to higher compensation and benefits expense and occupancy expense. Compensation and benefits expense increased $120,000, or 8.63%, primarily due to higher bonus expense. Bonus expense for the second quarter of 2008 increased $95,000 as a result of improved profitability this year. With its economy growing at more than 10% per year, nothing appears likely to stop the rise of China as an economic superpower. However, a study released by the Adecco Institute, which conducts research on the Chinese labor market, and the Shanghai Academy of Sciences, says China will suffer shortages in five key areas: management talent, English language skills, R&D personnel, senior and secondary skilled workers, and holders of professional certificates. The study concludes that China faces a severe dearth of qualified personnel across a wide range of activities from manufacturing to professional services.
