WASHINGTON - Growth in private-sector payrolls sharply accelerated in November, led by the service-producing sector and small businesses, according to the ADP employment report released Wednesday. Employment in the private sector rose by a seasonally adjusted 206,000 jobs in November - the largest gain since last December and almost twice the average increase in recent months. The October level was revised up to 130,000 from a prior estimate of 110,000.
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Not content to target only public-sector unions, Republican lawmakers in more than one-quarter of the states this year launched their most ambitious attempt in about a generation to break up union shops in factories, offices and other private-sector workplaces. However, their efforts have largely faltered, in part because of opposition from fellow Republicans concerned that pushing too hard against unions could jeopardize other aspects of the pro-business agenda they staked out after strong statehouse gains in the 2010 elections.

So why are we blaming the victim - taxpayers - for the national debt? Government is a spending addict and needs rehab. Yet President Obama claims we need to raise taxes. He is blaming the taxpayers for his spending-and-debt addiction. When a chief executive officer in the private sector lies to investors, it's called fraud. You can go to prison for manipulating the facts. Yet Mr. Obama and his leftist cabal in Congress lie, omit and manipulate the facts about t...
Seven Technical Advisory Committees (TACs) advise the Department of Commerce on the technical parameters for export controls applicable to dual-use commodities and technology and on the administration of those controls. The TACs are composed of representatives from industry representatives, academic leaders and U.S. Government representing diverse points of view on the concerns of the exporting community. Industry representatives are selected from firms producing a broad range of goods, technologies, and software presently controlled for national security, non-proliferation, foreign policy, and short supply reasons or that are proposed for such controls, balanced to the extent possible among large and small firms. TAC members are appointed by the Secretary of Commerce and serve terms of...
