A corporate jet made an emergency landing on Tuesday morning at Allegheny County Airport in West Mifflin because the pilot noticed smoke coming from the right engine, an airport spokeswoman said. The twin-engine Cessna Citation 550 jet landed safely at 9:15 a.m., about 10 minutes after the pilot notified authorities of the problem, said Allegheny County Airport Authority spokeswoman JoAnn Jenny. Firefighters from West Mifflin Fire Company No. 3 arrived just after the plane touched down and found no smoke or fire in the engine, Chief Steve Schwab said.
