In the March PPIC Statewide Survey there were a variety of issues questioned, one of which was Proposition 14 on the June ballot. Shockingly, 56 percent of respondents supported this measure that is falsely touted as fair primary election reform. In reality, it is radically altering the election process, opening a loophole in which the general election could be Democrat vs. Democrat or Republican vs. Republican.

Each month, the story line seems to take a new shift and this month is no exception. Among Republicans, one in five (20%) would vote for Godfather Pizza CEO Herman Cain in the GOP primary while 18% would vote for former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney and 11% would vote for Texas Governor Rick Perry.
