The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has determined that CITANEST (prilocaine hydrochloride (HCl)) Injection, 1%, 2%, and 3%, and CITANEST PLAIN (prilocaine HCl) Injection, 4%, were not withdrawn from sale for reasons of safety or effectiveness. This determination will allow FDA to approve abbreviated new drug applications (ANDAs) for prilocaine HCl injection, 1%, 2%, and 3%, and prilocaine HCl injection, 4%, if all legal and regulatory requirements are met.

However, my PSA rose to 5.7. My family doctor sent me to a urologist, who suggested a biopsy. The urologist said my prostate gland is normal for my age and had no hard spots or lumps. James E. Kirkpatrick, 42, of Belpre, injected what experts testified was three times the manufacturer's maximum recommended dose of prilocaine into Hunter Owens, who died less than 90 minutes later on Oct. 27, 2004. Kirkpatrick was attempting to extract 11 rotten teeth from the toddler, who was struggling.
