Insurance-related court cases and decisions are presented. In the case of John Hancock Property and Casualty Insurance Co vs. David Scannell, the Appeals Court of Massachusetts acknowledged there are circumstances in which it is possible to have a residence in more than one place at the same time. However, the court found that Scannell's circumstances did not support such a finding. The court concluded that Scannell, having established a residence elsewhere, was no longer responsible for the home and family, and that his son, David C., was not a "household member" under the policy.
