MEXICO CITY -- "Pimp My Ride" and former "Survivor" producer Bruce Beresford-Redman was detained Thursday as a suspect in his wife's death days after reporting her missing in the resort city of Cancun, a Mexican official said. The body of Monica Beresford-Redman was found Thursday in a sewer at the swanky Moon Palace resort where the family was on vacation, according to Bello Rodriguez, the outgoing attorney general for Quintana Roo state, where Cancun is located.

Glorifying the aftermarket will undoubtedly come back to haunt many companies that jumped on the "Pimp My Ride" bandwagon. Many of those ornate parts are not covered under manufacturer warranties and too many consumers have used secondary financing to acquire expensive accessories that were not designed by the manufacturer or covered under the initial cost of the vehicle.
