Chatham University announced Wednesday it is buying two buildings in the East End to meet growth in academic programs and student enrollment.
Chatham is buying a 250,000-square-foot office building at the corner of Penn Avenue and Washington Boulevard in East Liberty. Some of the space will be used for the school's interior architecture, landscape architecture, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy and physician assistant programs.

Pacific University will break ground at 2 p.m. today on its new Health Professions Campus at the corner of Southeast Eighth Avenue and Washington Street in Hillsboro.
The campus will be built in two phases over the next five years, with the first phase of the project targeted for opening in fall 2006. As part of that first phase, a 104,000-square-foot building will be constructed that will include a multidisciplinary clinic and instructional spaces for occupational therapy, physician assistant studies and physical therapy programs, along with a portion of the university's School of Professional Psychology. Space for new dental health science and pharmaceutical programs will also be included in the building, as well as space for some student support services.

The Office of Part-Time Admissions at Quinnipiac University has scheduled an information session for prospective adult undergraduate students for 6:30 tonight in the lobby of the Admissions Office. Representatives from the Schools of Business, Health Sciences and the College of Liberal Arts will present brief informational sessions and answer questions. Quinnipiac offers adult part-time students evening degree programs in computer information systems, gerontology, health and science studies, legal studies, liberal studies and management.
