WASHINGTON, Sept. 15 /U.S. Newswire/ -- In support of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the Army Corps of Engineers today awarded four fixed-priced contracts for debris removal in the areas affected by Hurricane Katrina. Each of these contracts has a value of up to $500 million each, with the option of an additional $500 million.
Debris removal competitive contracts have been awarded to the following companies: Ashbritt, Inc. of Pompano Beach, Fla.; Environmental Chemical Corporation of Burlingame, Calif.; Ceres Environmental Services, Inc. of Brooklyn Park, Minn.; and Phillips and Jordan Inc. of Zephyrhills, Fla.
