The University of Tennessee Chapter of the American Pharmacists Association - Academy of Student Pharmacists was named Chapter of the Year during the association's 2010 annual meeting in Washington .
The UT chapter, which comprises 545 members on the UT College of Pharmacy's campuses in Memphis and Knoxville, competed alongside 110 other pharmacy schools across the United States and Puerto Rico. The APhA-ASP Chapter of the Year is awarded to the chapter that excels in such areas as patient care projects, advocacy, and advancing the professional development of its members.

This notice requests comments on proposed eligibility criteria for the Centers of Excellence (COE) program in health professions education for under-represented minority (URM) individuals (See Title VII, Section 736 of the Public Health Service Act, 42 U.S.C. 293 (2011) as amended by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, Public Law 111-148, Sec. 5401 (2010)).
