NEW YORK, Dec. 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- S&P SmallCap 600 constituent National Retail Properties Inc. (NYSE: NNN) will replace Pharmaceutical Product Development Inc. (NASD: PPDI) in the S&P MidCap 400 index, and Higher One Holdings Inc. (NYSE: ONE) will replace National Retail Properties in the S&P SmallCap 600 index after the close of trading on Wednesday, December 7. Pharmaceutical Product Development is being acquired by affiliates of The Carlyle Group and Hellman & Friedman in a deal that closed today.

Sirnaomics Inc. of Gaithersburg, a drug development company focused on wound healing, diabetic therapeutics, antiviral therapies, oncology therapeutics and others, said it has signed a partnership agreement with Guangdong Zhongsheng Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd., a publicly traded Chinese pharmaceutical company. The partnership will focus on development and commercialization of STP601, Sirnaomics' therapeutic product candidate to treat diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration. Guangdong Zhongsheng is committing $9.75 million to the relationship, including upfront and milestone payments, royalty sharing and a market-sharing arrangement with Sirnaomics.
