Hayes, one of the two men accused in their deaths.

Hayes should be sentenced to death for murdering Petit's wife and two daughters, he said he wept for the loss of his family but was "glad for the girls that there was justice.

• County Grand Jury Indicts 149 On Federal Charges

The woman who was in the car during a police chase that culminated in the shooting deaths of the driver and a Charleston Police officer was one of 149 people indicted on felony charges by a Kanawha County grand jury last week. Natasha N. Light, 24, faces multiple charges, including petit larceny, burglary and prescription fraud. Light was the passenger in the car driven by Brian Good on the night that Good and Charleston Police officer Jerry Jones were fatally shot by members of the Charleston Police Department.
