RUMFORD -- The Rumford Performing Arts Committee will hold its third annual Festival of Trees celebration on Saturday, Dec. 10.
Beginning at 7 p.m., local musicians will play and the Rumford Association for the Advancement of the Performing Arts will lead Christmas caroling.

NORWAY ? The Save the Norway Opera House Committee will present "A Night for the Opera House" at 7 p.m. Friday, July 16, at Norway Memorial Library, with author Myra McLarey reading from her novel "The Road to Eden's Ridge.
Music and scenes will also be presented by author Sally Jones of Norway and composer Steve Jones of Harrison, who are collaborating to adapt the novel into a musical for the stage. Featured in that performance will be Alison Whitney, Griffin Jones, Jeremy Hill, Tom Littlefield, Carol Brown and other singers and musicians from the area who often perform with the Oxford Hill Music and Performing Arts Association.

Chrissy passed away at her home on Sunday, May 2nd, 2004, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her loving mother Marilyn; sister Catherine (Will Limon); brothers - Andy (Lora), Bill and Roy (Brenda); as well as her many cherished nieces and nephews.
As a member of the Denver Musicians Association for 36 years, she was an active member, performing on the flute and piccolo, of the Colorado Springs Symphony/ Philharmonic for 27 years, and the Central City Opera for 23 years. In addition, she was a freelance orchestra contractor for various churches in the area. Christine was also a devoted Elementary Music teacher in the Cherry Creek School District for 18 years.

The bands won't be all there is to look at in this weekend's pair of Buffalo Place Rocks the Harbor concerts.
