RIDGEFIELD -- A letter sent to 86 classroom aides and several teachers by the district superintendent this week said they would "not be offered a contract" for the coming school year, and that their "employment with the district" would end June 30.
Superintendent Robert Jack wrote that he would recommend a resolution during tonight's school board meeting calling for the elimination of all 86 full-time classroom aide positions. The resolution also would create an additional 172 part-time teaching assistant positions, according to the letter obtained by The Record.
