Of course, community corrections officers are not singly responsible for achieving the goal of public safety; rather, probation and parole outcomes are embedded in a larger multi-organizational justice system that incorporates law enforcement, institutional corrections, and courts, as well as non-justice agencies including victims of crime, treatment providers, and others. PASADENA -- As part of a massive, county-wide parole and probation compliance sweep Wednesday dubbed "Operation Silent Night," Pasadena police carried out 27 compliance checks, arrested six people and seized two guns, authorities said.
The operation targeted parolees and probationers throughout Los Angeles County, according to Pasadena police and county officials. The sweep as a whole included 158 compliance checks, 38 arrests and the seizure of 23 guns.
