• Investment Firm Sues Oklahoman Parent Company for Libel

An investment firm is suing The Oklahoman's parent company for libel over a story the newspaper published after the Oklahoma Department of Securities accused the financial group of selling fraudulent securities. The lawsuit claims an article that ran in The Oklahoman on June 29, 2010, about a Department of Securities probe into the company Firstar Financial Group of Central Oklahoma contained numerous inaccuracies and that the newspaper never bothered to try to contact the company to get its side of the story.
