  • Patricia G. "Aunt Pat" Powers, age 59, of Oxford, PA passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Lynchburg, VA, she was the daughter of the late Roy S. Powers, Sr. and Cossie Lee Wilson Powers. The family moved to Oxford in 1958 on Pat's 8th birthday. Pat attended the Stanton School for the Blind and The Overbrook School for the Blind from which she graduated on June 12, 1970. At Overbrook, she was a member of the chorus, captain of the cheerleading squad and was a student switchboard operator. Pat continued her education at Penn State Middletown Campus and then Ellen Cushion College where she earned an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts.
