The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) proposes to amend its regulations concerning furnished by VA while a veteran is experiencing an episode of care at a VA medical facility. We intend that the proposed rule would update current regulations to better describe the application process for this assistance and clarify the distinctions between provided by VA. The proposed rule generally reflects current VA policy and practice, and conforms to industry standards and expectations.
