Someone compared them to the bars on a cell phone, said Edward Tucker, namesake and owner of Edward Tucker Architects in Huntington. The protrusions serve a far more utilitarian purpose. They hide exhaust vents that carry nasty gases away from the buildings laboratories. One of the challenges in designing the building was where to put all the ductwork, Tucker said. News you can use Open enrollment available since 1990 Iowa has offered open enrollment, the option to enroll in a school district other than the one the student resides in, since 1990. Students from kindergarten through 12th grade are eligible. There is no cost, and applications are available at any school district or on the Iowa Department of Education Web site at http://www.iowa.gov/educate under "options for educational choice." Parents or guardians do not have to give a reason for the change unless the application is after the annual March 1 deadline.
