  • Oklahoma Baptist University is a small school in Shawnee with big dreams. The university, which had an enrollment of fewer than 2,000 in the recently completed fall semester, is in the midst of a $42 million fundraising campaign. The multiyear (2011 to 2014) "Vision for a New Century" effort is the biggest in the history of the 101- year-old school. Previous campaigns topped out at about $31 million, said Marty O'Gwynn, assistant to the OBU president.
