The trial court erred in granting Defendant/Appellee a JNOV overruling a jury’s verdict for the Plaintiff/Appellant in excess of a million dollars when the evidence should have been viewed most favorably to the Plaintiff/Appellant and the Plaintiff/Appellant had presented substantial evidence on every essential element of his claim. The trial court also erred in granting Defendant/Appellee a new trial provisionally should this Court reverse the JNOV, as competent, credible evidence existed to support the jury’s determination. Opportunities abound for people in our area this weekend who are into everything from bingo to theater to finding ways to entertain the youngsters. Best of all, these opportunities are for wonderfully worthy causes.
For example, for the past five years, OHI, a nonprofit organization that helps people with disabilities live productively in their communities, has been raising money to take 30 of those consumers, plus support staff, to Disney World.

BREWER - A newly expanded classroom facility has allowed OHI Professional Development, a nonprofit organization in Brewer supporting people with disabilities, to expand its offerings to include the entire Bangor region business community.
To educate the public about its increased size and capabilities, OHI, located at Twin City Plaza on State Street, has scheduled an open house from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22.
