In compliance with the Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) (44 U.S.C. 3501 et seq.), this document announces that EPA is planning to submit a request to renew an existing approved Information Collection Request (ICR) to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). This ICR, entitled: ``Health and Safety Data Reporting, Submission of Lists and Copies of Health and Safety Studies Reports'' and identified by EPA ICR No. 0575.13 and OMB Control No. 2070-0004, is scheduled to expire on October 31, 2012. Before submitting the ICR to OMB for review and approval, EPA is soliciting comments on specific aspects of the proposed information collection.

Homestead property tax bills in Vanderburgh County are taking the largest year-to-year leap this year among the 44 counties that have submitted billing data to the state.
The Indiana Office of Management and Budget reports that property taxes billed to homeowners in Vanderburgh and Clay counties are up 39 percent in 2009, while overall homeowner taxes are down an average of 7 percent.

The Federal Procurement Data System began in 1978 as a series of COBOL programs on an IBM mainframe-primitive by today's standards. In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, FAA invites public comments about our intention to request the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) approval to renew an information collection. The FAA amended the regulations governing flight data recorders to increase the number of digital flight data recorder parameters for certain Boeing airplanes. This requirement affects all Boeing 737 series airplanes manufactured after August 18, 2000. This change was based on safety recommendations from the National Transportation Safety Board following its investigations of two accidents and several incidents involving 737s.

After numerous instances of federal government agencies mishandling or losing personal information, the agencies pledged to improve their data security standards and practices. Two years later, the agencies still have much work to do. A deadline for ensuring data security could help.
The Office of Management and Budget last year directed federal agencies to implement five security protocols, including encrypting data on mobile devices that carry agency data, stricter remote access protocols for accessing government data from outside an agency and tracking downloads of sensitive information.
