The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or the Commission) is considering the issuance of a license to General Electric-Hitachi Global Laser Enrichment LLC (GLE or the applicant) to authorize construction of a laser-based uranium enrichment facility and possession and use of byproduct material, source material, and special nuclear material (SNM). This proposed facility is proposed to be located in Wilmington, North Carolina. The NRC prepared a Safety Evaluation Report (SER) in support of this license application.

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or the Commission) is considering issuing an amendment for Renewed Facility Operating License Nos. DPR-31 and DPR-41, issued to Florida Power & Light Company (FPL or the licensee) for operation of the Turkey Point (PTN), Units 3 and 4, to increase the maximum power level from 2300 megawatts thermal (MWt) to 2644 MWt for each unit. The proposed power increase is approximately 15-percent over the current licensed thermal power, including a 13-percent power uprate and a 1.7-percent measurement uncertainty recapture, and approximately a 20-percent increase from the original licensed power level of 2200 MWt. Union Electric Company, a subsidiary of Ameren Corporation and doing business as Ameren Missouri (Ameren), has submitted to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) an application for renewal of Facility Operating License NPF-30 for an additional 20 years of operation at Callaway Plant, Unit 1 (Callaway). Callaway is located in Callaway County, MO. The current operating license for Callaway expires on October 18, 2024.
