• State's Nuclear Plants Not Like Japan's

KEWAUNEE - Wisconsin's nuclear power plant operators say that the state's reactors are safe. The Kewaunee and Point Beach plants are similar in age to the Japanese reactors involved in that country's earthquake and tsunami disaster, but have a different design. The Wisconsin plants have pressurized water reactors while the reactors in Japan use boiling water.
