Pay no attention to the giant micrometer at the entrance of the Rich Tool & Die plant in Scarborough. The precision measuring tool, which for decades has served as the company's logo, is being replaced by an image of satellites circling the globe.
Moreover, the company's name has been jettisoned for one that reflects its use of cutting-edge technology and its worldwide reach. So please take note. Rich Tool & Die is now Rich Technology International.

This has resulted in the installation and implementation of critical sewer and water infrastructure systems, a state-of-the-art senior-citizen facility, a new fire substation, acquisition of fire and rescue units, new equipment for the village, recreational equipment for our schools and paving and upgrading our roads. In 2005, Angela Anderson was about four months pregnant when the company she worked for told her and the other employees in her department that they were no longer needed. The layoff prompted the Moneta resident to take her computer and technology education in a new direction. She created and then walked through a new door.
