Penny Redli, the museum's executive director, is using the $7,500 grant to develop an exhibit in the building that focuses on the Crow Tribe and the history of the reservation's agency headquarters that south of Absarokee from 1875 to 1884. Redli's redesign of the museum's displays has been a community project, incorporating volunteers like carpenters Terry Goddard and John Matovich, as well as Jerry Fahrenthold and Walt Martin, who helped erect the 12-foot-high tepee purchased with some of the grant money.

The Winnipeg Jets apparently won't be releasing their new uniforms for a few more weeks, but they unveiled their new logos Friday afternoon and they're a pretty big change from the old look that dated from their WHA days and changed only slightly until their NHL departure in 1996.
The main logo, a jet flying over a maple leaf, is at the far left. It was inspired by the logo of the Royal Canadian Air Force. There is also an alternate logo that features the leaf over the wings of a jet and an alternate team script patch.

Federal, state and local officials said Tuesday they are reexamining safety measures along North Jersey train crossings following the deaths of three teens in Garfield and Wayne in a 24- hour span.
But officials also warned that individuals take their lives in their hands when they ignore crossing gates and fences, or walk on tracks where pedestrians are clearly not meant to go.

The King's Fork High School baseball team has a new look this year: new uniforms and a new coach, Mickey Irving.
He hopes the overall newness means a lot more wins. Last season the Bulldogs finished 4-16, and in the school's six-year history the squad has never won more than five games in a season.
