State officials announced Friday that they are seeking a court order to shut a small, financially troubled New Jersey auto insurer.
The order would enable the state's Property Liability Insurance Guaranty Association to pay the claims of The Security Indemnity Insurance Co., which had insured 21,000 cars at its peak last year. The company also insured several thousand businesses.
