Ten years ago, the names of Nanas Irish grandparents were given to me by a contact I made on the message board GenForum. By perusing genforum.genealogy.com/given, I found a message mentioning my Thomas Given of New Brunswick, and soon received the welcome news that his parents were Irish immigrants James Given and Margaret Orr.
But who were the parents of his wife, Harriet Stein? Why was Thomas living with his birth family in the 1881 Census? Did Harriet die, or did they not stay together? And where in 1881 was Nana their 2-year-old Thressa Jane Given, who grew up to marry a Steeves?

Frank and Mary Clark from St. George, New Brunswick, were driving around Bangor when they saw the row of lights beaming on Mansfield Stadium.

The energy market in New England and Atlantic Canada is about to get a big delivery of natural gas.
The 315-meter-long, Qatar-based Q-Flex MV Mesaimeer, the second- largest liquefied natural gas tanker in the world, arrived Tuesday off Saint John in New Brunswick to deliver 4.6 billion cubic feet of natural gas to the newly opened Canaport LNG terminal, which is a joint project between Saint John-based Irving Oil and Spanish energy giant Repsol YPF. The ship is the 10th LNG vessel to deliver the fuel to the terminal since it began operations in June.

BRIDGEWATER, Maine -- A Canadian man suspected of supplying drugs to a Houlton man already convicted of drug trafficking was captured by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency on Saturday afternoon.
Darrell Crandall, the MDEA division commander, said Monday that Reginald Stockford, 39, of New Brunswick was stopped Saturday and held at the Bridgewater Port of Entry by Customs and Border Protection officials.

As presently designed, the solar facility will generate approximately 8,450,000 kilowatt hours of solar electricity per year and supply 100% of the electric power needs for site facilities.
