* U.S. citizens and legal immigrants will be unfairly denied access to tax credits that are supposed to make health insurance more affordable because they have a householder who is an undocumented immigrant. Yet, these very same U.S. citizens and legal immigrants will be required to purchase insurance without the tax credits designed to help them afford coverage.

Many will argue that the NCLR convention is only highlighting the "progress" we have made, and how "important" we are politically. While I agree some progress has been made (for individuals), politically the blunt reality is that for the majority of people of Mexican ancestry - things in the U.S. are worst in 2008 then in 1968!
