Dr. Woodbine was born and raised in Harlem and still resides there. The art of holistic healing was taught to him by his father, the late Peter Woodbine, who served the Harlem community, Brooklyn and Bronx from 1949 to his death in 1990. Dr. Woodbine began gaining knowledge of holistic healing at the age of 10. His father also taught him about foot reflexology and other things. Dr. Woodbine then proceeded to add to his education. He attended medical school at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon, which teaches holistic medicine. He received a master's degree in Chinese medicine and acupuncture from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine and a doctorate in naturopathic medicine. His clinic offers Chinese medicine, acupuncture and holistic care.

In preparation for this week's article I was sorting through some research when I came across an article on Gardasil, the vaccine that treats HPV. Just as I started reading the article my four year old grand daughter climbed into my lap and within 20 second she was sound asleep.
