The Cranebrake Resort in Wagoner and the National Center for Employee Development in Norman have achieved the first two sustainable tourism certifications in Oklahoma. Certification is issued through ECO - or Encouraging Conservation in Oklahoma. The program was developed in 2009 by the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department and the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality to encourage sustainable tourism.

S. Postal Service National Center for Employee Development The following employees with the U.S. Postal Service's National Center for Employee Development received Stars of the Industry awards. They are Katie Reel, Marriott sales manager, manager of the year; Kendra Dunn, front-office associate of the year; Malissa Harbison, housekeeper of the year; Morgan Hughes, lodging employee of the year; and Wanda Roland, food and beverage associate of the year.
Scott Morgan's greatest challenge as the new director of the U.S. Postal Service's National Center for Employee Development in Norman probably won't be overseeing the 600-person staff or $48 million annual operating budget, he said. It's going to be staying ahead of technology.
