WASHINGTON, May 25 Speaker Nancy Pelosi delivered remarks this afternoon at a Congressional awards reception for the National Breast Cancer Coalition's (NBCC) Annual Advocacy Training Conference in the Russell Senate Office Building. September 19 represents the annual anticipated occasion for Women of Color's Breast Cancer Survivors Support Project (WOC), "Loving Each Other" luncheon happening held in the LAX Marriott Ballroom Hotel. Her reputation as an activist comes from her role as one of the "founding mothers" of the breast cancer advocacy movement in the early 1990's. She continues this work by serving on the boards of the National Breast Cancer Coalition, and Young Survival Coalition. A true visionary, [Susan M. Love]'s most recent project is a ereative Internet solution to partnering women and scientists in accelerating basic translational research. Right now, the National Breast Cancer Coalition is leading a push to get 218 House members and 60 Senators to commit to co-sponsoring the Breast Cancer and Environmental Research Act (S.579/H.R.1157) by Mother's Day.
