Three advocacy groups normally at odds with each other have joined forces to tackle an old problem: helping small businesses get health insurance. The National Federation of Independent Businesses, National Association of Realtors and the Service Employees International Union have endorsed a bill before the Senate to allow small businesses in different states to band together to buy health insurance.

Health-care reform will be the hot topic over the summer as Congress will begin to consider a variety of proposals and legislation after many months of behind-the-scenes talks. The National Association of Realtors (NAR) has worked with key lawmakers who are crafting legislation to ensure that comprehensive health- care reform addresses the needs of the self-employed and small employers.
