LEWISTON -- The National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association will meet at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, at the Ramada Inn. A social half hour will be followed by lunch at noon. After the speaker, there will be a business meeting conducted by Richard St. Amand, president, with readings of the secretary and treasurer's reports by Paul Ouellette, secretary/treasurer. Any old or new business will be discussed.
The Legislative Committee members, Claire Breton and Roland Metayer, will give an updated report on recent federal and state news and affiliated issues of interest to the NARFE members.

LEWISTON -- The National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association will meet at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 22, at the Ramada Inn. A social half hour will be followed by lunch at noon.
Special speakers will be NARFE members Roland Metayer and Claire Breton. Their topic will be "Looking beyond the rhetoric, trying to find some iota of truth." Roland Metayer has been a NARFE member for 19 years and Claire Breton a member for 15 years. Both are retired postal employees, Roland as Lewiston postmaster and Claire as manager of consumer affairs. They have both served as Legislative representatives for the Lewiston/Auburn NARFE organization for the past four years keeping membership updated, each meeting, regarding NARFE concerns at the state and federal levels.

Glen Burnie Chapter 1519 of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association recently honored two of its members with honorary lifetime memberships.
The awards were bestowed on Frances Smith and Mary Wood by Second Vice President Ginny Klinedinst. The awards honor longtime members who are at least 85 years old and have been members for at least 20 years.

Susan Collins and what was discussed.
