Outside, the museum's lobby and gift shop were packed with visitors. In the courtyard, several people were taking photos of the museum's exterior and of friends and family members.

SPRINGFIELD -- United Auto Workers ratified a new four-year contract with Navistar International, despite the fact that UAW Local 402 members in Springfield rejected the contract 51 percent to 48 percent.
UAW members from eight locals in six Navistar facilities voted Saturday, accepting the contract chainwide 73 percent to 27 percent. Because the contract was accepted by a majority of the total votes cast, it will be ratified for all plants, including Springfield.
